LAKE QUINAULT TRIP
We ventured out from the cute little cabin we stayed in on Lake Quinault to see some of the beautiful sights of the Olympic Rain Forest. We had 4.5 days of sun out of 5 days of vacation - unprecedented!

Since there is a third member of the family arriving soon we thought we would take a look at something a little bigger than the Corolla. This one did not fare well during the test drive.

I caught a tree THIS big with my bare hands.

A shot above the tidal pools at Cape Flattery on the Makah Indian Reservation.

Looking back at the Olympic mountains from Dungeness Spit (One of the longest sand hooks in the US). We tried to walk the full 5.5 miles to the lighthouse at the end, but Miranda had to go to the bathroom. (Oh, the joys of pregnancy).

Bill Culley will appreciate this one! Yes, somewhere in the middle of nowhere Washington there is indeed an ode to VOA. Someone has recognized your contributions to the world at last.

Miranda takes a stand on the shore of Lake Quinault.
