LAKE QUINAULT TRIP

We ventured out from the cute little cabin we stayed in on Lake Quinault to see some of the beautiful sights of the Olympic Rain Forest. We had 4.5 days of sun out of 5 days of vacation - unprecedented!

Since there is a third member of the family arriving soon we thought we would take a look at something a little bigger than the Corolla. This one did not fare well during the test drive.

I caught a tree THIS big with my bare hands.

A shot above the tidal pools at Cape Flattery on the Makah Indian Reservation.

Looking back at the Olympic mountains from Dungeness Spit (One of the longest sand hooks in the US). We tried to walk the full 5.5 miles to the lighthouse at the end, but Miranda had to go to the bathroom. (Oh, the joys of pregnancy).

Bill Culley will appreciate this one! Yes, somewhere in the middle of nowhere Washington there is indeed an ode to VOA. Someone has recognized your contributions to the world at last.

Introducing + 1

Miranda is Pregnant! As of today she is in her 14th week of pregnancy and is feeling better everyday. This blog will be a chronicle of sorts for our close friends and family to follow our "swell" process into parenthood. We plan on posting belly pictures and ultrasounds as well as writing about any pertinent or interesting news that goes on in our lives. Some members of our family (Peter and Patty) have used this blogging tool to allow us to see the progress they make on their beautiful home that they are remodeling on their own. We found that we loved checking their site and feeling included in their lives even though we are far away. So hopefully some of you will now enjoy feeling included in our lives.
